Behind the Hub
Sondela Academy has been delivering work-integrated learning on a 4,800-hectare nature reserve near Bela-Bela, Limpopo since 2007. The Academy trains students in three streams — Hospitality & Lodge Management, Conservation & Wildlife, and Culinary Arts — using a 70/30 model: 70% hands-on experiential learning, 30% guided theory. Every resource in this hub draws on real operational knowledge from the Academy.
TiOLi Consulting is the authorised recruitment, sales, and marketing partner for Sondela Academy. The Teachers Resource Hub is a TiOLi initiative designed to connect South African schools with Sondela's unique learning environment. All curriculum alignment, content development, and resource design is managed by TiOLi's advisory team.
Our Process
Every resource published in this hub follows a rigorous alignment process:
The target CAPS topic is identified from the published DBE FET Phase curriculum documents.
The specific Learning Outcomes and Assessment Standards are mapped.
Content is developed using real-world Sondela Academy operations as the context.
A curriculum alignment statement is added to every resource in the standard format.
Resources are reviewed against the published CAPS document before release.
