A structured YIELD workshop led by our advisory team. We walk through your current skills development obligations, incentive eligibility, and workforce planning gaps. You leave with a clear picture of where you stand and what you could be claiming.

What You Experience

The workshop is hosted on-site at Sondela Academy in Bela-Bela. Delegates get a guided tour of the reserve, see the training facilities first-hand, and experience the environment where learners live and study. Working lunch included.

Who Should Attend

What Is a WIL Host Partnership?

Sondela Academy trains the learners. Your business hosts them for the workplace experience component. This is the practical half of a registered learnership — learners rotate through your operation (kitchen, front-of-house, guiding, conservation) doing real work under your supervision, as part of their accredited qualification.

The key distinction: You are a host site, not a training provider. Sondela retains all training provider obligations. TiOLi handles compliance and reporting. You provide the workplace environment and day-to-day supervision.

What It Costs

TiOLi management fee

Sondela training fee
Per-learner fee paid to Sondela Academy for the training programme — varies by qualification, NQF level, and duration. Quoted at onboarding.
Your cost
Workplace supervision time + learner onboarding. No accommodation or salary required — learners arrange their own accommodation near your site.

Both the TiOLi management fee and Sondela training fee are eligible expenses under the Section 12H tax deduction, meaning you can claim them back.

How DESIGN differs from DEPLOY: In DEPLOY, you host Sondela's existing learners at your site. In DESIGN, TiOLi creates a bespoke learnership programme for your own employees or new recruits — using Sondela as the accredited training provider. You control the programme. Sondela delivers the training. TiOLi manages everything in between.

DESIGN is for organisations that want their own skills development programme — not just hosting someone else's learners. TiOLi diagnoses your workforce needs, designs a SETA-registered learnership around your specific roles, and manages the full lifecycle: recruitment, training delivery (via Sondela), compliance, incentive claims, and B-BBEE reporting.
